Okay this is the very first step you will take. I have heard many different ways to pick a niche but I am going to give you the three most popular niches in the industry today that are also quite “Evergreen” which means that they will be around for a long time to come. Keep in mind that there are a ton of niche’s out there to choose from. You can go to Click Bank and check out their market for a niche specific list.

The main three are as follows:

#1. Health – Diet, Exercise, Weight Loss

#2. Wealth – How To Make Money From Home, Money period.

#3. Relationships –  How To Attract A Man In Three Easy Steps. That is the best example I could think of. There are a ton of different ones in this niche to but it is not an area I delve into often. That does not mean it is not lucrative. It just means I found my passion within the Wealth Niche as you can tell.

Digital Marketing

I would also like you to understand that really anything that causes pleasure or pain, controversy or that there are already forums of discussion about can be considered viable niches. The three above merely are the three most popular.  I was always taught  “Do what you know”  However, I found this to be problematic at best because I never felt like I knew enough about any one subject to use that knowledge to allow me to make money with it.

What I would suggest is finding a topic that interests you and see if there is a market for it. How can you tell if it would be a profitable niche you ask? Easy, go to Google.com and type in the name of the subject in question followed by the word forum. Example: ; Make up Forum or Video Game Forum

If you find at least ten to twelve forums on whatever your topic is, more than likely there is a demand in that market and you can help to fill it.

In the example above Make Up would be considered the “Top Level” Niche.
If you wanted to expand into a “Sub Level” Niche we would be looking at something like “Loreal Mascara” There are tons of sub level niches for each top level niche. I will add more top level and sub levels here later on so you can get a good idea of what these are and how you can differentiate.

Top Level Niche – Make Up
Sub Level Niche  –  Loreal Mascara
Sub Sub Niche – Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara by Loreal

In this case the sub sub level is the most targeted we could get with this particular niche.

You really want to start out with the sub sub niche and work your way up to the top level niche because you are essentially starting out your business with one product and adding more and more products as you can comfortably afford to add them.

At the later stages of this you can create what is called an E-Commerce website which would potentially have one hundred Make Up products on it and every one of those products would be a product that you are an affiliate for. So essentially each time you sold one or more of those make up products you would make a commission on each sale. This is the basis for affiliate marketing.

I’ll give you one more example and I think this will make the picture clear. Let us look at the Make Money From Home Niche. So we start with:

Top Level Niche: Make Money From Home

Sub Level Niches:

  1. List Building
  2. PPC Training
  3. Ebay
  4. Amazon Affiliate
  5. Affiliate Marketing
  6. E-Mail Marketing
  7. SEO – Search Engine Optimization
  8. Info Product Creation
  9. Copywriting
  10. Free Traffic Generation
  11. Paid Traffic Generation
  12. How To.. “Any of the above”

Sub Sub of List Building Example: http://www.listbuildingevolution.com
I do not know if this product will still be around at the time you are viewing this but basically any how to that you can find or create about list building would be the sub sub level of List Building. As I said before, once you have that mastered and you are making decent money from it then go back up a level and find a good product that you can sell in another sub level.

This actually brings me to a very important topic. Do Not just promote a product to promote it thinking your going to make some quick sales. You want to make sure that the product is a good product. Something you yourself would use or at least stand behind because you know its a good product. Remember your name and reputation are on the line. If you sell someone a bad product it won’t be long before your name is slandered on facebook and all the other sites out there.

You always want to represent yourself and the company you represent in a businesslike and ultimately, genuine way.
